BIBLE STUDY - Bishop Barron’s Catholicism “The Pivotal Players: St. Augustine & St. Benedict” will begin on January 18. This four-week series immerses us in the lives of these holy men and the contributions of these two pivotal saints. Join us for Pivotal Players at Holy Name of Jesus Church beginning Friday, January 18 at 9:30 a.m. and continuing every Friday until February 8. WOMEN OF GRACE STUDY - Become the Woman of Grace God created you to be! The Women of Grace Foundational Study takes a multi-media approach to dig deeply into Catholic teaching using the study text Full of Grace, Sacred Scripture, the Catechism, citations from Vatican II and other Magisterial documents, and the biographies of 16 Catholic women saints. MARCH FOR LIFE PRAYER SERVICE will be held on Friday, January 18 at Prince of Peace Parish in Steelton. ANNUAL DIOCESAN RESPECT LIFE MASS will take place on Sunday, January 20, 9:30 a.m. at Good Shepherd Church in Camp Hill. This Mass is celebrated every year to commemorate the lives lost to abortion since 1973 and to pray for the building up of a culture of life in our nation from conception to natural death. Rev. Stephen Kelley, chaplain to our diocese’s Rachel’s Vineyard post-abortion ministry, will be the celebrant and homilist. All are welcome!

MARCH FOR LIFE BABY SHOWER - Do you want to support local mothers in need? Are you unable to attend the 2019 March for Life, or want to support pro-life efforts closer to home? Then consider contributing to the “March for Life Baby Shower” on Sunday, January 20, 2:00-4:00 p.m. at Holy Name of Jesus Parish in the Social Hall. Material gifts will be collected for local pregnancy resource centers as well as financial gifts for the “Pennies for Life” campaign. This event is sponsored by the Diocesan Respect Life Office and the Harrisburg Diocesan Council of Catholic Women (HDCCW). Needed materials include: diapers & wipes, baby clothes (new and gently used), formula, baby food, car seats (new only), strollers, pack ’n plays, and baby soap/shampoo. FRIENDSHIP BREAKFAST - All are invited to the Annual Friendship Breakfast on Saturday, February 2, 8:30-11:00 a.m. in the Social Hall. Every year, this is a wonderful opportunity for friends to get together as they enjoy a delicious selection of breakfast foods prepared by their own group. SOUP SALE - Our parish will again be a sales site for the 2019 Souper Bowl Sunday Soup Sale on February 2 & 3. All proceeds benefit the local shelters operated by Catholic Charities.
